When Escobar was born in 1949 in Antioquia, Colombia, his mother was a School Teacher and his father was a Farmer. Pablo was ambitious from the beginning, and he used to tell his friends that he would be a millionaire by the time he was 22.
Pablo Escobar (1949-1993) was a Colombian drug lord who was the head of the Medellín Cartel, one of the most powerful and violent criminal organizations in the world. He was responsible for the production, distribution, and smuggling of massive amounts of cocaine into the United States and other countries.
By the 1980s, Escobar controlled 80% of the cocaine traffic going into the US. The cartel moved 70 to 80 tons of cocaine into the country per month. At the height of his reign, Pablo Escobar was making around $420 million each week.
Escobar spent roughly $2,500 a month on rubber bands for his cash. He was one of the wealthiest men in the world, with an estimated net worth of over $30 billion. From 1987 until 1993, Escobar made the Forbes list of international billionaires. In 1989, he ranked as the seventh-richest man in the world.
He used his wealth and power to influence the government and political system in Colombia, bribing officials and buying the loyalty of the poor through social programs. He also used violence and intimidation to maintain control of the drug trade and eliminate rivals.
During the 1980s, Escobar became one of the most wanted men in the world, with the US and Colombian governments both offering large bounties for his capture. He was finally killed in a police shootout in 1993, but his legacy has continued to shape the drug trade and politics in Colombia to this day.
How Pablo Escobar was killed in a police shootout

Mark DeFriest
He is the most talented jailbreak master in history! Mark DeFriest is an American prison inmate who is known for his numerous escapes and his reputation as a “Houdini of the prison system”, he was imprisoned and became a nightmare for all prison guards in the United States.
The most unimaginable thing is that he was convicted of theft in 1980 at the age of 19 and sentenced to just four years in prison. However, due to his multiple escapes and disciplinary infractions, his sentence was repeatedly extended to 105 years.
DeFriest’s escapes and attempts to escape were often elaborate and well-planned. He once used a homemade compass and a map to escape from a prison work farm, and on another occasion, he used a makeshift ladder to scale the wall of a prison. He also fabricated a fake gun and used it to take hostages in an attempt to escape.
A story about one of Mark DeFriest’s escapes
One of Mark DeFriest’s most notable escapes occurred in 1984, while he was incarcerated at the Florida State Prison. Joaquín Guzmán Loera, also known as “El Chapo,” is a Mexican former drug lord and the former leader of the Sinaloa Cartel, one of the most powerful criminal organizations in the world. He was considered one of the most powerful and wealthiest criminal figures in the world, with an estimated net worth of over $1 billion. El Chapo escaped a highly secured prison not once but twice successfully.
El Chapo began his criminal career in the 1980s, rising through the ranks of the Guadalajara Cartel to eventually take control of the Sinaloa Cartel. Under his leadership, the cartel became one of the most powerful drug trafficking organizations in the world, responsible for smuggling large quantities of cocaine, marijuana, and other drugs into the United States and other countries.
El Chapo was arrested multiple times in Mexico, but he was able to escape from prison twice, once in 2001 and again in 2015. He was eventually recaptured in 2016, and was extradited to the United States in 2017, where he stood trial on multiple federal drug trafficking and other charges. In 2019, he was found guilty on all counts and sentenced to life in prison plus 30 years.
About El Chapo’s escapes

This allowed El Chapo to make a quick getaway without being detected.
The tunnel, which was located beneath the prison, was expertly built and engineered. It had been under construction for over a year, with El Chapo’s associates, who had access to the prison through bribery and corruption, working tirelessly to construct it in secret. The tunnel had an entrance located in a small house, which was built specifically for this purpose, located miles away from the prison.
The prison break was a major embarrassment for the Mexican government and led to an intense manhunt to recapture El Chapo. It also reinforced the perception of corruption and inefficiency in the Mexican law enforcement system, as well as the power and influence of El Chapo and his criminal organization. Despite the efforts of the authorities, it took more than a year to finally capture him again in 2016.
