She didn’t know he was married with 5 children. When she found out, she had to confess to God.
So I met this man when I was in year 1, he was kind, he even insisted on knowing my sister’s house where I lived and sometimes he will come visiting. I didn’t know he was married, all I know is that we meet few times in a year. I can count how many times we met while we were together.
For 6 months, he didn’t disturb me for sex but he kept spending on me and asking if I’m okay. This man was so good at pretending that he was not married. I didn’t even know that he had a second phone he uses to talk with his wife. I felt like I knew everyone around him, the people that calls and all. Whenever he travels for business, we don’t talk again. He doesn’t pick my calls nor call back. Then after like 5 months, he will now call me and start telling me how he was sorry that business took his time and he forgot to call back, blablabla. Then to make up for his absence, he will come to town and buy me things and he will tell me how he is doing everything possible so that I won’t have to suffer when we get married.
This thing continued till I got to year 3 and then one day, I asked him if he was married. He looked shocked and could not say anything for like 3 seconds. He totally denied that he was married and why would I say such a thing. I told him that it was nothing shaa, but that his disappearance is somehow suspicious to me.
One day we were together, he forgot to hide his second phone and was in the bathroom when the phone was beeping. I quietly went to check and saw the name tag “wifey” on it. As he came out, I told him that my sister just called me and she said I should come home immediately. Some months later, he came back from his supposed business trip and asked to meet me. As we met, I asked him how many children he has, this time I didn’t ask him if he was married, I just went straight and asked him of his children. The mumu man said 5 children. Then I said “if you have 5 children, what of their mother”? That was when he realized that he had fucked up and came clean. After that day, I never spoke to him because the whole thing surprised me and I even went to confess for it and got my penance after that.
I still pray daily for God to forgive me for doing something with a married man. Before I started questioning him in all these, I had already made up my mind that I won’t settle down with him because of his suspicious life. He later promised to marry me and send me abroad if I want. There was nothing this man did not say to try and convince me.

This one really interesting. Read very carefully. There are deep messages in it.
I dated a married man, he is the first and only I have dated. We just broke up and yes, we love each other. I used to work with married men and saw them as spoiled men. Their wives had trained them to suit themselves, they were a huge turn off for me. The first time I met this man, I was obsessed with him, I knew I wanted him barring any cost. Apparently, he had told my friend whom he came to drop something for that he liked the owner of the shop and would date her.
Anyway, I got back from my errand and saw him in my shop and I wanted him. Thank God our feelings were mutual. At the onset, he said he had no plans of marrying a second wife and he didn’t want children. For me, those were magic words, I was not looking for marriage and I didn’t want children. I am a single mum (sperm donor man), never been married, I had already gotten off the marriage train. Besides, no one was pestering me to get married.
Anyway, I left him because of my faith. All through my issues, I had my faith to rely on, so now that I had to choose, I chose my faith. It took me 6 months to tell him we needed to break up, he agreed because he knew that was what I wanted.
For all the time we were together, everyone knew us, his friends (home and abroad), the places he hung out, my shop and neighbors. It got to a point when an elderly man asked me when I was getting pregnant, I told him it wasn’t a part of our agreement, he pointed out that the man treated me like his wife. I never cooked for him and he never spent the night in my house. This man took care of me, I was faithful to him, I love him.
I think his wife would have known, I have met his children. He says there are certain things I made him start doing, he hugs his wife now and gist with her because he was used to doing it with me. He is not a womanizer, his friends attested to this. We are trying to settle into being friends. He fell sick when I broke off communications with him. It was so serious that our mutual friend called me, unfortunately, I wasn’t in town, I had gone to attend to some family stuff. I cried when I saw him, he had lost so much weight, he said he would have married me, he said he still wants to marry me. I told him I couldn’t marry him cause it would seem like I manipulated him into doing such. He still spoils me rotten, we are trying to settle into being friends but it is hard. He says he can’t leave me, I can’t leave him too but what I tell him is I will leave him once I get someone who wants to marry me but it is a lie, I can’t leave him. I keep comparing him to other men, they don’t match up. Our relationship was not a smooth ride but we always settled things between us.
We spoke every minute and saw each other every day, sometimes on Sundays too. Anytime he needed anything, I would get it and if I needed anything, he would get it. He never allowed me spend on him, he is one of those 100% expenses on the man kind of man. I drew the line at my son’s school fees and my house rent.
He is supportive, encouraging and loving. I don’t regret our relationship, it showed me that I deserve to be pampered and I am special. I wish I didn’t have to break up with him but my faith. I keep using the present tense because we still see each other once in a while.
